Artificial Intelligence
What is A.I?
Artificial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that deals with the development of algorithm (An algorithm is a set of instructions for solving a problem or accomplishing a task.) similar to human mind. A.I can solve complex problems, which, if human solves, takes a lot of time. They developed these programs in such a way that computers will remember and learn from the mistakes.
Uses Of A.I..
A.I have gained more popularity because of recent discoveries in the field, such as speech recognition, face recognition, virtual agents, machine learning and much more. Sophia, which is a humanoid robot developed by Hanson Robotics, is a fine example of advancement in A.I and robotics. A.I have helped machines to think and work on the next level, where machines surpass humans.
Importance of A.I
The amount of data generated by humans and computers is huge. To analyze such a huge data and make decisions that will help us is really hard for a human. This is where A.I help for making a complex decision for the growth by analyzing huge amount of data. This makes computers efficient for handling data and getting useful conclusions.
Artificial Intelligence has made its way from a checker-playing program to self-driving cars and it is still growing every day. Artificial Intelligence is not just in expensive cars, it is all around us. We use it regularly in our daily lives without even recognizing it.
Nick Bostrom, who is a philosopher and a professor at Oxford University, says, “Machine intelligence is the last invention that humanity will ever need to make.”
